just realized I’ve known all the words to this song since i was 16. I remember having friends, sophomore year in high school who were just getting into The Ramones, thinking they were the end all, be all of punk rock. I kept trying to make them listen to this records. I remember actually sitting in the library (looking at this big thick Andy Warhol retrospective) and saying to one of these posers in particular “What? Do you think The Ramones invented punk rock?”
